John Kirk Boyd, Founder
Has three law degrees, from UC Berkeley School of Law, including his doctorate. He has argued at every level of court, including the United States Supreme Court. Kirk has also taught International Human Rights, Civil Rights, Constitutional Law and International Law at the University of California, Berkeley and Santa Barbara, and is the author of a best selling book in the San Francisco Bay Area: 2048 – Humanity’s Agreement to Live Together.

Keyvan Hajiani, Marketing and Branding Director:
Keyvan is the Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Socio Fabrica, an award-winning agency specializing in strategy, design, tech and ecommerce. He has 20+ years of experience managing and expanding accounts with top brands and brings a wealth of expertise in branding, digital marketing, and communications.

Joshua Cooper, United Nations Director:
Joshua is an expert on United Nations mechanisms, with over 25 years of experience working directly with the UN in Geneva, New York and elsewhere. He has participated as an official observer at the UN and served as Co-Chair of US Human Rights Network Universal Periodic Review Task Force at the UN Human Rights Council. Joshua is a professor at the University of Hawai’i and the Director of the Hawai’i Institute for Human Rights.
Interns

Abdur Rehman, Web Development Intern:
Abdur Rehman is a software engineer with a background in full-stack development, UI/UX design, and CRM systems. Abdur focuses on building human-centered digital experiences that blend functionality with purpose.

Ayesha Arif, Web Development Intern:
Ayesha Arif holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Arizona State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science with a concentration in Big Data. She is an AWS-Certified AI Practitioner with a passion for UI/UX design and building projects that solve real-world problems while enhancing interactive user experiences.

Ayesha Asim, Legal Intern:
Ayesha Asim is a Ph.D. student in Law with a background in international law, policy analysis, and legal research. She holds an LLM in international law (Gold Medal) and an LLB (Hons) in Shariah & Law (Distinction), and brings over six years of diverse professional experience across government institutions, research platforms, and international organizations. Her expertise covers international humanitarian law, human rights law, refugee law, the law of the sea, air and space law, contract law, and comparative legal studies. She is especially passionate about promoting global governance and legal reform at the intersection of human rights, international institutions, and emerging challenges in international law.

Chengguang Hu, Fundraising Intern:
Chengguang Hu is a Ph.D. student in Sociology at the University of California, San Diego. He has a background in social impact research and nonprofit program evaluation, and is particularly passionate about the intersection of human rights, institutional design, and social change.

Guiselle Delgadillo, Fundraising Intern:
Guiselle Delgadillo is a fundraising intern for Unite for Rights. She attends George Mason University, studying International Security and Law with a minor in Criminology. She focuses her work on human rights, public policy, and advocacy regarding issues of immigration, women’s rights, and poverty. She’s always had a passion for nonprofits and how they align their values and goals to help communities and make social change.

Khushi Prakash, Fundraising Intern:
Khushi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Epidemiology/Biostatistics and Biology from the University of Western Ontario and is now pursuing a Master of Public Health degree specializing in Health Policy & Law from Boston University School of Public Health. She has worked in the non-profit sector, focusing on donor outreach and fundraising campaigns. She is passionate about health equity and improving access of care to underprivileged populations.

Tess Gilmore, Product Sales Intern:
Tess Gilmore is a rising senior at the University of Notre Dame studying Global Affairs and Spanish. She is originally from Baltimore, MD but spending her summer in Portland, Maine.
